AFC Bournemouth sacked head coach Scott Parker following the defeat against Liverpool on Saturday.

The Premier League club were humiliated by Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield, equaling the Premier League’s record defeat scoreline.

Liverpool beat Bournemouth by 9 goals to nil after a poor start in the League.

Ahead of the 2022/23 season, Bournemouth signed 25-year-old Centre-Back, Marcos Senesi and 23-year-old attacking midfield, Marcus Tavernier for a combined fee of €26.90m.

They also signed three extra players on free transfer.

However, this investment seem low for Scott Parker compared to that of their competitors, Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

According to sources, Scott Parker launched a verbal attack on the team owners for poor investment following their promotion to the Premier League.

His actions were unacceptable by the board, hence why he was sacked by the Club.

In a statement, co-owner, Maxim Demin expressed his gratitude to Scott Parker and for the promotion to the Premier League.

He confirmed why Scott Parker was sacked saying, “..it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably. We must also show belief in and respect for one another.”

First team head coach, Gary O’Neil, will take interim charge of the team, and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick, the club announced.
