Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid sold out New York’s famous Madison Square Garden, and Davido was sympathized with during the performance.
After tragically losing his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident, Davido was forced to postpone his “A.W.A.Y.” festival that was scheduled to take place at the 21,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Davido received well-deserved support at Wizkid’s concert yesterday, November 16, 2022.
Davido was consoled for the devastating loss as DJ Tunez, Wizkid’s right-hand man and personal disc jockey, played the singer’s smash song, “Dami Duro.” DJ Tunez dedicated the time to Davido (and his family) by saying:
Davido we love you. OBO we love you… This one is for OBO. We love you.
Below is a video of the tribute paid to Davido’s son at the concert.
