Israel Adesanya’s unbeaten record in the UFC came to an end at the hands of Brazil’s Alex Pereira.
Following his performance in the opening four rounds, Adesanya was predicted by fight viewers to be the victor. However, things took a turn for the worse for the Nigerian in the fifth round when Pereira repeatedly punched him, which prompted the referee to stop the bout.
This is Adesanya’s fourth UFC fight and eighth overall in mixed martial arts, and he has held this title since 2019.
