Potter and Chelsea Football Club have been in the news ever since the Englishman’s contract was ended. Tuchel claimed that it took him some time to process being fired from the team.
I saw the news about Potter being sacked last night. it took me a while to process my dismissal. Chelsea has changed massively after that, so it affected me less.
Following the termination of Tuchel’s contract in September 2022, Potter was appointed. The behind the scene conflict with the club hierarchy led to the German’s dismissal, whereas his successor was fired due to a string of disappointing outcomes under his watch. Potter was fired after the team lost to Aston Villa on the 1st of April 2023. Chelsea is currently 11th of the EPL table with 10 more games to go.
