The Ghanaian team for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola does not include Baba Rahman.

Baba Yusif Rahman is now out with an injury, and new Black Stars coach Chris Hughton has excused him. Rahman is undoubtedly a part of Hughton’s long-term plans for the national team, despite his absence from the squad, and the coach wants him to be fully healthy and at his best before including him in the group.

Rahman has played for the Black Stars more than 50 times and is a seasoned member of the Ghanaian national team. He played in all three of the games for the team that competed in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Hughton has selected a talented lineup for the next matches against Angola despite Rahman’s absence, with players like Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Jordan Ayew serving as the team’s captains.

With four points from two games, the Black Stars are tied for first place in Group E. They will need two wins to guarantee their qualifying for the tournament in Ivory Coast the following year.
