The future of Kepa Arrizabalaga at the London club has been discussed by Chelsea Football Club manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Blues’ backup goalkeeper was linked to other teams during the summer transfer window, but he was unable to find a team. Tuchel claimed that although Kepa wanted to go, he was unhappy with his exit alternatives.
Following Edouard Mendy’s disappointing performance in the first few Premier League games of the season, Kepa might be on his way back into Chelsea’s starting lineup.
He checked his options in summer which we were aware of. They were not satisfying for him or for us, so he stayed. I am very happy about that. I was always very clear with Kepa that I wanted him to stay.
