The women’s 100-meter hurdles world record was broken by Nigerian Tobi Amusan at the 2022 World Athletics Championship.
With a time estimated to be 12.12, the talented athlete broke the record in the semifinals of the women’s 100-meter hurdles. She then went on to win the women’s 100-meter hurdles gold medal in the World Athletics Championship finals.
The talented athlete was also awarded a $100,000 cheque for her accomplishment.
