The highly anticipated mini-documentary of American ace rapper Kendrick Lamar’s recent visit to Ghana has been released by global music streaming platform Spotify.
The elite rapper was recently in Ghana with his family and team to throw a private listening party and film a documentary for his album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.”
On June 17, which happened to be Kendrick Lamar’s birthday, Spotify released a four-minute mini-documentary titled “A Day in Ghana with Kendrick Lamar” to give his fans a glimpse inside the rapper’s trip to the homeland.
Kendrick Lamar had the chance to experience the Ghanaian street culture by playing soccer and visiting Freedom Skate Park, Ghana’s first fully functional skate park, which was funded by late fashion star Virgil Aboh. In the video, he says:
[I’ve been thinking about] Virgil, what he means to them as far as letting them have this creative space for them to enjoy themselves. That’s special.
