With his most recent EP, Bad Since ’97, BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has accomplished a feat previously only accomplished by Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.
The EP, which peaked at number one on the UK Apple Music charts, earned him a seat at an exclusive table with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, who had previously been the only Nigerian acts to reach the top five positions on the charts. The EP had previously peaked at number one on the Apple Music Nigeria album chart.
Due to this achievement, BNXN’s project coexists with internationally acclaimed initiatives like Beyonce’s Renaissance, Harry Styles’ Harry’s House, and Aitch’s Close To Home.
After albums by Megan Thee Stallion, Rod Wave, and other notable American bands, Bad Since ’97 debuted at the number 6 spot on the US Apple music charts, reaching respectable heights there as well. After Burna Boy’s Love Damini and Wizkid’s Made in Lagos, the EP is now the third-highest charting Nigerian project as a result of all these accomplishments.
The 24th of August saw the release of BNXN’s debut project since changing his name from Buju, Bad Since ’97, which received praise from music fans.
