On Tuesday, May 24, two teachers of Robb Elementary in Texas, Uvalde, lost their lives following a mass shooting.

Instead of enjoying their summer break, their families are now making funeral arrangements after they lost their lives, alongside other 19 young students.

However, the two teachers, Mrs Garcia and Ms Mireles, following their demise have received a lot of praise for their heroic and bravery act – trying to save their students from the bullets.

According to her nephew, Mrs Garcia was seen by police officers “embracing children in her arms pretty much until her last breath.”

She used herself as a shield to protect the children.

Ms Mireles was also noted to be the “definition of a hero” after “she put her own fears aside to protect her students that day.” her sister Maggie said.

Salvador Ramos, 18, a student of Uvalde High School, was identified as the gunman who undertook the mass shooting.
