Chelsea’s newest acquisition, Kalidou Koulibaly has shared a video of his conversation with John Terry, a Blues veteran.
The Senegalese player who transferred from Napoli to the Premier League team tweeted a video of his phone call to Terry in which he asked Terry for permission to wear the number 26 jersey. The former defender wore the jersey number while he was a member of the London team.
When Koulibaly was a player of the Serie A team Napoli, he wore the number 26 on his jersey. On Saturday, July 16, 2022, The Blues announced on their official website that Kalidou Koulibaly had been acquired from Napoli for a cost of €40 million.
The Stamford Bridge club and the Senegalese agreed a five-year contract that keeps him there through the summer of 2027. He is anticipated to receive a season salary of €10 million net.
The 31-year-old is the first center defender that Todd Boehly, the new owner of Chelsea’s men’s club, has signed. He is anticipated to take Antonio Rudiger’s spot, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer.
