Southampton F.C will be eliminated from England’s premier league for the third time in 11 years. After the Saints’ 2-0 loss against Fulham on May 13, 2023, the Saints’ relegation was officially announced.
Long-time Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl was fired in November and was succeeded by Nathan Jones. They amassed 130 victories during that span, with Danny Ings scoring 22 goals in the 2019–20 season, the most by a Saints player in a single Premier League season.
Southampton still has two games left to play this season, including a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 21 and a match against Liverpool at the Mary’s on the season’s final day.
