Following a question from a Twitter follower, Nigerian Afro-fusion act Ruger in response to the question jabbed his industry comrade BNXN fka Buju.
Following a remark from a Twitter user who claimed that Buju was a better singer than he was, shots had been fired from Ruger at BNXN on July 14. The star then responded to the dialogue that had resulted from a discussion about Ruger with a statement outlining the differences between the two acts.
“I love buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only RUGER. All my hits are JUST RUGER. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?”
Prior to that, Ruger had a direct Q&A with his fans during which he discussed his passion of horror films, a song he wrote with his label boss, D Prince, his thoughts on being nominated for the Headies Next Rated Awards, and more.
It’s interesting to note that Ruger, BNXN fka Buju, Ayra Starr, and Zinoleesky are all vying for the 2022 Headies Next Rated Awards.
