Nigeria’s leading A&R, Sheye Banks is about to set speakers ablaze with his highly anticipated debut album, ‘Statement of Account’ on the 7th of August, 2023.
The Hypeman and OAP that is popularly referred to as the Vybe King has continually pushed the narrative of Hype music as the Afro Hype Pioneer and his debut album emphasises the reflection of his art and his impact to the growth of afrobeats in the last decade.
This album has been in the works for a long time. This is the album that made me start the AfroHype movement because I thought I would not have been able to complete this project with proper collaborations.I have sacrificed so much to be where I am now and to create this special piece so it is a really significant step releasing this album as I take a new step into my journey of growth.I’m mainly just trying to leave my footprints in the sands of time and create a legacy that would last me a lifetime“.
In a post, Sheye Banks reveals that L.A.X was the first artist to make music with him several years ago. So this song is also a symbolic release ahead of the album.
