DJ Cuppy, a Nigerian DJ and musician, is formally engaged to her British boxer boyfriend, Ryan Taylor.
The proposal, which took place at the Gumball Awards in Abu Dhabi in the wee hours of November 20, began with Ryan Taylor getting down on one knee and popping the question in front of the audience. DJ Cuppy had previously spent the entire week in Abu Dhabi for the award show, and her Instagram page was covered in press images from the car rally.
The Gumball Award is the culmination of what is referred to as the world’s most spectacular car rally, and Ryan Taylor, a professional boxer, biker, and YouTuber, had truly proposed in big style. Notably, Taylor gets along well with both Burna Boy, for whom he made an appearance at his 02 Arena event, and Nigerian-British boxer Anthony Joshua.
