Cameroon’s World Cup journey in Qatar in 2022 has come to an end, but Vincent Aboubakar left his stamp on the competition.
The forward player left his mark on the competition’s football history and won’t soon be forgotten, especially by the Brazilians. Aboubakar became the first player to score a goal that would have given an African nation the FIFA World Cup triumph over Brazil.
Near the end of the game, the 30-year-old also had his name written in history books incorrectly. In the 2006 World Cup, which was held in Germany, he became the first player since Zinedine Zidane to score and receive a red card in the same game.
