Dembele reportedly signed a two-year contract keeping him at FC Barcelona through the summer of 2024. The Laliga team announced the announcement of the player on its official website on Thursday, July 14, 2022.
Following his friendship with Thomas Tuchel while the two were at Borussia Dortmund, the winger was reportedly linked with a move to Chelsea. He transferred from the Bundesliga to Barcelona during the 2017 summer transfer window.
The French winger, 25, has spent five years with FC Barcelona and has 150 games under his belt. Since he joined the team, he has been one of Barcelona’s top assist producers. By assisting 13 goals, he led not just Barça but also La Liga in the 2021/22 season.
