The French national team’s long-standing record has been broken by Olivier Giroud, a forward for AC Milan.
The former Chelsea player made history by scoring the team’s oldest goal ever. On Thursday, September 22, 2022, during the UEFA Nations League match against Austria, he accomplished this feat at the age of 35 years, 357 days.
Additionally, Giroud needs two goals to tie Thierry Henry for the most goals scored as a member of the French national team. Both for the club and the national team, the forward player has been in outstanding form.
