Ghanaian movie actress, Nana Ama Mcbrown, has opened up on how she developed fibroid and underwent surgery to remove her fallopian tube before getting pregnant.
In an interview with Naa Ashokor, Mcbrown disclosed that a fibroid in her system made it difficult for her to conceive.
The screen goddess said before her surgery, she underwent IVF, or in vitro fertilization procedure to get pregnant, before performing a surgery to remove one of her damaged fallopian tubes.
Nana Ama Mcbrown said this is the first time she is making this revelation to the world. She added that she thought it was important to share her story to motivate other women in similar situations.
“I am saying for the first time, my tubes, one of them was damaged and they had to take it off. I shouldn’t have said this but Naa, a lot of women are going through this. Mine, I have gotten a result, I have gotten Maxine and what I wanted,” she said.
Nana Ama McBrown said her revelation should serve as a motivation to other women going through the same predicament.
