Barbadian singer, actress, fashion designer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty NH widely known as Rihanna was a big miss on the night of the Met Gala 2022, however, she was well represented.
She stole the show without attending, and fans are excited.
Rihanna has established herself as one of the most sort after fashion icons of the Met Ball and with that Met Gala did not leave her out on the night.
The Met Gala molded the singer’s latest Vogue cover by styling her into a likeness of Eirene, also known as “Peace.” She was immortalized in marble.
The 34-year-old singer was honoured with a CGI statue placed inside The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Greco-Roman galleries, which was unveiled on social media after the Gala.
The statue represented Rihanna cladded in an Alaïa bodysuit while showing off her baby bump.
According to Vogue, the statue of Eirene’s (i.e. The Personification of Peace) was “the highest-profile marble goddess” at the galleries hence Rihanna was a worthy replacement.
Rihanna was thrilled and excited as she took to her Twitter handle to express her gratitude to the Met Gala.
She shared a footage with the caption: “Shut down the Met in marble! What’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you [Met Museum] and [Vogue Magazine] for this historic tribute! Y’all bad for this one!”
