Meek Mill, an American rapper, has made a plea to African concert planners with a unique request he hopes to see fulfilled there.
The rapper did not hesitate to make his specific request on Twitter in an age where many people, famous or not, have their heart desires fulfilled via the use of social media and where cultural fusions are commonplace.
Meek Mill said; “I’m tryna come to Africa this December also … the first time I got locked up …. The other times didn’t fully get worked out! Who is the biggest promoters handling that! I need to perform dreams and nightmares in Africa! And all my other ish!”
According to reports, the rapper who has spent time behind bars has a strong urge to perform songs from his Dreams and Nightmares album, which some of his admirers consider to be one of his best collections of work. Additionally, December in Africa, particularly in major cities like Ghana and Nigeria, Lagos in particular, is typically a festive occasion, with sold-out performances by American musicians like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, J Cole, and Rick Ross in Easter. Rapper Kendrick Lamar spent a lot of time in Ghana after his most recent album, Mr Morale And The Big Steppers, was released.
Since the rapper’s appeal, African fans have gathered in his comments section to lobby for Meek Mill to visit their chosen country in Africa, with Ghana and Nigeria being the most often requested locations.
