Luis Suarez, a former striker for Barcelona and Liverpool, has returned to his native Uruguay’s first team.
On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the announcement was made on Nacional’s official Twitter account in Uruguay. Suarez had previously stated that he will sign for the South American club, which is his childhood club.
When the forward player’s contract with Atletico Madrid expired, he was free to join a La Liga team in Madrid. While some reports suggested he might return to Barcelona, others said otherwise.
In 2005, Suarez began his professional career at Nacional. He swiftly won a transfer abroad and made the Uruguayan national team. Returning home enables him to train for the 2022 World Cup in a comfortable environment. The 35-year-professional old’s career is anticipated to end at the Uruguayan team.
La ilusión de todos, el amor por los colores y la alegría de volver a verte con la camiseta más linda del mundo 💙🤍❤️
