Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga recently shared his thoughts on his season-long loan at Real Madrid. During an interview with the Spanish national team during the international break, he discussed his time in Madrid and his future plans when his contract expires at the end of this season (2023/24).
He expressed his desire to continue his journey at Real Madrid, saying, “Of course, I’d love to stay at Real Madrid in the future. Who doesn’t want to stay at this club? I am very, very happy here.”
Kepa joined Real Madrid during the 2023 summer transfer window on a loan deal. Initially linked with a move to Bayern Munich, his transfer to the German club fell through when Real Madrid’s primary goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, suffered an injury before the start of the new season.
On the other hand, Courtois provided an update on his injury situation, stating that he is close to returning to full fitness. This development could lead to an intriguing situation as the season progresses, with Kepa’s strong performances for Real Madrid being a notable highlight of his career so far.
