Buses were made available for the general public as part of Joeboy’s strategy for promoting his new album Body & Soul.
Famously known as Joeboy, renowned Nigerian musician, songwriter, and performer Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus is currently in the news for his most recent act of kindness to the public.
In an effort to lessen the suffering of Nigerians, the singer-songwriter, who is presently promoting his second studio album Body & Soul, which was published last month, came up with a unique strategy.
While the 15-track album, which featured heavyweights such as CKay, BNXN, Odumodublvck, Kemena, and Ludacris, continues to do well, Joeboy has been on his toes, making sure he properly markets the product.
On Monday, June 12, 2022, the nation’s democracy day, the singer-songwriter stated his plans to provide free buses along specified routes in Lagos that are intended to run from morning till evening in order to lessen the severity of the spike in airfare rates. Joeboy branded the buses with the same name as his new project to promote his album in between. He stated:
I know the fuel subsidy p is hard on everyone right now so here’s my little way of helping. For the next 3 days, there will be FREE Body & Soul buses along the following routes between 8am and 5pm. Enjoy the ride, Love you guys

Also, there will be adequate security to ensure the safety of all passengers boarding

Routes like Lekki, Jakande, Iyana Oworo, Unilag Gate, Yaba, Oshodi, and Obalande are anticipated to be served by the buses. As was to be expected, there have been many responses to the act, with many Nigerians taking to social media to commend the musician for the initiative.
