Jesse Lingard, a former player for Manchester United, has signed on as a free agent and joined Nottingham Forest, a team that has just been promoted.
On Thursday, July 21, 2022, the club announced on its official website that it has signed the English footballer. The 29-year-old reportedly signed a one-year contract that will keep him at the club through the summer of 2023. According to reports, he will make £200,000 every week.
After making 230 appearances for the Red Devils and scoring 35 goals, Lingard will bring a wealth of knowledge to his new squad. He also participated in the second half of the Premier League season as a loan player for West Ham United, making 16 appearances and scoring 9 goals while dishing out 5 assists.
When the new season begins on Friday, August 5, 2022, Nottingham Forest supporters will be hoping Lingard will bring this expertise to the field.
