Belgian International and Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of finalizing his loan move to Inter Milan ahead of the next transfer window.
On Sunday, June 19th, 2022, Transfer Story analyst Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account. Inter Milan will enhance their opening offer of €5 million plus €2 million in add-ons, according to sources from the tweet, while Chelsea is seeking for €10 million plus add-ons.
Since joining the Premier League team during the last transfer window, the Belgian has failed to live up to expectations. Lukaku only scored eight Premier League goals for Chelsea, but he was the club’s top scorer with 15 goals in all competitions.
Chelsea have apparently linked Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling of Manchester City as a possible replacement for the Belgian.
