Chelsea and Inter Milan have agreed on a loan deal for Romelu Lukaku for next season.
On Tuesday, June 21st, 2022, various media confirmed the loan transfer news. Inter Milan will pay Chelsea €8 million plus add-ons, according to claims from transfer news analyst Fabrizio Romano, and he will stay at the Serie A club until June 2023.
Lukaku was signed by Chelsea for a record transfer fee of €100 million from Inter Milan during the last summer transfer window in 2021. The Belgian, on the other hand, has struggled to make an impact since joining the Blues.
With 15 goals, the forward finished the season as Chelsea’s top scorer, but only 8 Premier League goals. Lukaku stated his desire to return to Inter Milan in an interview with Sky Sports.
