In response to the ongoing dispute with the Cameroon FA, which caused him to leave the team’s camp for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana has issued a formal statement.
Following Andre Onana’s absence from the Cameroon vs. Serbia game during the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, concerns were raised. After the Cameroonian FA made a formal declaration indicating that he had been expelled from the team, Inter Milan and Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana addressed the subject in an official statement.
In his message, he described how he has made every effort to help the squad.
“I have put all my efforts and energy into finding solutions to a situation that a footballer often experiences, but there has been no will on the other side. However, I always respect and support the decisions of the people in charge of pursuing the success of our team and country.”
The goalkeeper, who has played more than 20 times for his country at the international level, has been temporarily suspended, the Cameroonian FA, directed by Samuel Eto, announced in an official statement. Everybody is keeping an eye on the situation to see how it plays out in the future.
