There have been rumors coming out of Stamford Bridge that the Blues’ head coach, the former manager of Brighton, may lose his position.
Since Thomas Tuchel was fired in September 2022, Chelsea has been a pale imitation of their former selves.
However, if Potter receives the sacking letter, the Blues are reportedly planning to name Luis Enrique as Chelsea’s new manager, according to claims from a well-known sports Twitter account (@deadlinelive).
The board has supported the Englishman in recent weeks, but if the results keep going in this direction, there may be a potential of change of heart.
When Enrique was chosen to lead Barcelona during the 2014–15 season, he shown his class. He continued to win every title that the Catalonia club had to offer.
With 30 points, Chelsea is presently ten points behind Newcastle United in fourth place in the Premier League rankings.
