Siyabonga Zubane, the Mzansi actor who played Sdumo in the hit drama Gomora, has died. His age was 23. His immediate family has not revealed the cause of his death as of this writing, however, it is believed that he committed suicide.
However, many sources, including actress Connie Chiume, have confirmed his demise. Following the news of his death, condolences have poured in from all around Mzansi.
According to multiple sources, the actor committed suicide, prompting many South Africans to blame despair as a silent murderer in the country.
If he did actually commit suicide, it would be yet another devastating blow to South Africa’s entertainment sector, which has previously seen a number of deaths.
Actor Patrick Shai recently committed suicide after apparently suffering from melancholy following his attack on Cassper Nyovest. In addition, the rapper Riky Rick committed suicide in February.
Prior to his role as Sdumo on Gomora, in which he played a car hijacker and criminal, he had previously been in another popular South African series, Isibaya.
