The Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, defeated South Korea 3-2 in their opening match of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
A goal from Mohammed Salisu and brace from Mohammed Kudus saw the Blackstars secure all the three points.
Otto Addo’s team won all three points to keep them in the running for a spot in the Round of 16 despite a brief second-half comeback by the South Koreans.
The Black Stars needed to win against the Koreans in order to avoid an early tournament exit after their loss to Portugal on the opening day.
