On Thursday, May 26, 2022, the nominees for this year’s Ghana Nigeria Music Awards Festival USA 2022 were announced at a colorful ceremony in Accra.
The awards, which are organized by BIG Events Africa, aim to recognize and promote talented Ghanaian and Nigerian artists, as well as to foster collaboration and cultural interchange between them.
Prince Mackay, the Country Director of the Ghana Nigeria Music Awards Festival USA 2022, stated at the unveiling of the candidates that Ghana and Nigeria have many commonalities and are culturally, socially, and economically intertwined.
According to him, the initiative will enable the two countries to go past their perceived rivalry and unify via entertainment, particularly music.
Adesegun Adeosun Jnr. AKA Smade, the Co-Founder of Afro Nation, said in his address that he was overjoyed that my dream of the two countries collaborating to take over the African continent through music had come true.
The Ghana Nigeria Music Awards Festival USA 2022 will be the first black event held in the Fox Theater, and it will take place in July 2022.
Andy Dosty, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Ola Michael, Franky 5, Mike 2, Christian Agyei Frimpong, Agyemang Prempeh, gospel musician Jayana, Osebo the Zara Man, and a slew of other entertainers were among those who attended the unveiling ceremony.
The USA edition is expected to draw a huge number of Ghanaian and Nigerian musicians and music industry stakeholders, as well as music enthusiasts from all over the world, in order to reach out to new people and cultures.
The scheme has around forty [40] different genres, including Gospel, Afrobeats, Hiphop, Highlife, Reggae, Dancehall, and Afroblues.

The GNMA Awards USA Edition is the first of this year’s series of GNMA Awards events.
The UK Edition will be released in September 2022, while the Ghana Edition will be released in December 2022.
