Nigerian singer-songwriter Chinedu Okolie better known as Flavour, has signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Amazon Prime for the release of his biopic.
The highlife musician has remained silent about the subject. His close colleagues, on the other hand, say that he received a $3 million advance from Amazon Prime for the release of his biography.
The contract is noteworthy since it makes the singer the first Nigerian to get such a large sum of money for a biography.
Even though Flavour has remained mute about the achievement, his supporters have congratulated him on his recent victory.
Some of his followers said he should spend more time on public relations so that the general public is aware of his importance in the Nigerian and African music scenes.
Unlike most of his peers in the industry, Flavour does not appear to enjoy making a lot of noise. Perhaps this is why so few people recognize his contributions to Nigeria’s music scene, particularly the highlife scene.
It will be interesting to observe if he makes a significant deviation from how he has chosen to handle his business in the music industry, as well as how fans react.
