Sad news from coming from Accra Central confirms that parts of the Kantamanto market have been destroyed by fire.
According to eyewitness, the incident which happened on Tuesday, November 29 destroyed many goods and shops.
The cause of the inferno has not yet been established, however, sources confirmed that more than 200 shops were engulfed in the fire.
Eyewitnesses said the efforts of the nearby Ghana National Fire Service did not yield positive results as they ran out of water in the process.

Following the fire outbreak, The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery visited the scene to commiserate with affected traders on behalf of the President.
The Ghana Police Service also deployed personnel to prevent possible looting and also direct persons and vehicular traffic.
Officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) were also supporting present to support the exercise.
