Her concerns add to that of the many Ghanaians whom have expressed worries over the tax.
Following the implementation, some Ghanaians witnessed an error where an amount as low as GHc 100 were subjected to a GHc 1.25 E-Levy tax, contrary to the statement of the Minister of Finance.
Prior to the implementation, many Ghanaians initiated massive cashout across the country to avoid the tax. As a matter of fact, 90% of Ghanaian do not agree to the E-levy and reports suggest it could lead to the reduction of Mobile Money transactions in the coming years.
The E-Levy was implemented at a rate of 1.5% and is expected to rake over GHc 60million for the Government annually.
The Government in a series of claims said the E-Levy will serve as a fund for Job Employment, Road Constructions, Development Activities and Youth Business Loans.
