Willian, a former player for Chelsea and Arsenal, has signed a long-term contract to join the Premier League.
As a free agent, the Brazilian agreed to a one-year contract with Fulham Football Club that will keep him with the team through the summer of 2023. On the club website, Willian acknowledged his happiness at returning to the Premier League.
I am happy to be here, I’m happy to be back in the Premier League. Fulham is a special club, a club that wants to improve, that wants to fight for something bigger, so I’m here to help, and I cant wait to get started.
Willian is quite conversant with the Premier League because he helped Chelsea win it in 2015 and 2017. The 2018/2019 season saw him win the Europa League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and a 4-1 victory over Arsenal.
In his 339 appearances over the course of his seven seasons at the Bridge, he scored 63 goals and 62 assists, earning him player of the year, goal of the season, and players’ player of the year awards. After playing for Chelsea, he relocated to North London and spent just one season playing for Arsenal.
