The DWM frontline act made a remarkable comeback with what is generally regarded as his greatest album ever after disappearing from the public eye for several months following the devastating loss of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident.
The Afrobeats superstar recently spoke on a podcast with Million Dollaz Worth of Game about the anguish that has consumed him every day since Ifeanyi’s death. David claims that since the incident, he has cried every morning. He stated:
I miss him every day, tears roll down my cheeks each morning, even though you can’t see it.
Davido continued by saying that he had to put the traffic incident behind him and focus on his work in order to achieve serenity. The musician claims that he is aware of the need to maintain his strength for his son, wife, family, and the entire globe. He stated:
My son is watching over me. Besides supporting his mom, my primary duty, I must also be a source of strength for the world.
