Davido’s management has announced that his A.W.A.Y event, which was scheduled to take place soon, has been postponed. View the statement below.
The management of Afrobeats superstar Davido, real name David Adeleke, has issued a memo informing the public that the previously scheduled A.W.A.Y festival has been postponed.
The statement claims that Davido’s Are We African Yet— A.W.A.Y Festival, which was originally scheduled for November 18, has been postponed until 2023, with all tickets that have already been purchased remaining valid.
The note read, “We have decided to postpone the A.W.A.Y festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023, a difficult but necessary decision. At this time, Davido needs to spend time with his family and loved ones.”
The State Farm Arena in Atlanta, which has a capacity of 21,000, was originally supposed to host the A.W.A.Y Festival. Following the unfortunate death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident, this development has occurred.
