The Electricity Company of Ghana has slapped operators of Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge in Accra with a fine worth GHc480,248.00 for illegally connecting electricity power.
This sum of the fine was computed by ECG for the use of power over a period of 12 months.
The nightclub, owned by musician D-Black was disconnected from the national grid for power theft on April, 27.
Reports suggest that managers of the facility have been given 14 days ultimatum to make payment or face legal action.
The facility is located behind the police headquarters in Cantoment, Accra.
Over the weeks, the National Revenue Protection Taskforce of the ECG have been tasked to visit heavily indebted institutions across the country. Their duties are to get rid and expose institutions operating with power illegality such as meter bypass, meter manipulation and more.
