Tottenham Hotspur has signed its first player ahead of the start of the next football season in August 2022.
On Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, Tottenham announced the free-agent signing of Croatian Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan on their website. He’ll be at the White Hart Lane until June 2024, according to the hotel’s website.
The midfielder is returning to Tottenham under the tutelage of Antonio Conte, who was his manager when Inter won Serie A in 2020/21. Tuchel was supposed to be signing him to Chelsea FC, but it did not appear to be the case.
In the just-completed 2021/22 season, he scored 10 goals and added nine assists across all competitions en route to winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
Perisic has 113 caps for Croatia, scoring 32 goals in the process. He was also a member of the Croatian team that lost in the 2018 FIFA World Cup final to France.
