Cristiano Ronaldo terminated his contract with Manchester United by mutual agreement following his interview with Piers Morgan.
He made wild allegation against the club, former players, ex-coaches and current coach Eric Ten Hag in a 90-minute interview on Piers Uncensored.
Man United confirmed the contract termination in a club statement.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.”.
Cristiano Ronaldo after agreement to exit the club wished them well and said he “feels like the right time to seek a new challenge”.
“Following talks with Manchester United, we’ve mutually agreed to end our contract.
I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change.
It feels like the right time to seek a new challenge. I wish Man Utd all the best”.
Ronaldo will be unavailable for Man United during the second half of the Premier League season and will miss the Europa League clash against Barcelona.
The club thanked him for his two spells at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo scored 145 goals in 346 appearances for the Red Devils.
