I am really happy to finally be at FC Bayern in Munich. We spoke a lot and I felt big interest from this great club right from the beginning, so for me there were no doubts.
It’s the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, in Europe too. During my time in Salzburg I watched a lot of Bayern games – I really like this club.
Following the UEFA Champions League final loss to Real Madrid in Paris on Saturday, May 28, 2022, Mane spoke to a few of his Liverpool buddies.
During his tenure at the team, the Senegalese was a crucial component of the Reds’ success. He made 120 goals and 30 assists during his 269 games for the Anfield club.
He won the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup.
Supporters of Bayern Munich will be hoping that Mane at least maintains the level of performance he showed while playing for Liverpool.
