Despite earlier reports, Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu has not yet been located, according to his club doctor.
Gurbey Kahveci, the Hatayspor team doctor, said it was true that he heard the player had been found yesterday; however, checks at the hospital to verify the information came up empty.
He claimed that searches are still going on and that Christian Atsu and his colleague might still be under the rubble.
“When we heard the news that he was taken to Dortyol Hospital, we especially went and looked, but it was not there. At the moment, we accept that Taner Savut and Christian Atsu were not found,” he said to the press.
