For the 2022–23 season, Xavier Simons has officially signed a loan agreement with Hull City of the Championship.
The central midfielder transferred from Brentford to Chelsea in 2016 after the latter’s decision to shut down its academy.
He started in a victory against his previous team last season in the Carabao Cup, marking his professional Blues debut.
Simons played frequently for our development team last year, serving as captain for the entirety of the campaign. He was used as a center-back, wing-back, and in a number of other positions.
He has played for England at several junior levels, and for the upcoming Championship season, he will team up with Hull City manager Shota Arveladze. Nathan Baxter, a goalie for Chelsea, is also there on loan.
