A contract extension has apparently been discussed between Chelsea FC and Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
In the summer of 2020, the Senegalese player transferred from Rennes of Ligue 1 to the London club. Mendy will reportedly have his contract examined by the new Todd Boehly-led board, according to sources from the Daily Mail.
Mendy was brought in to fill in for Kepa Arrizabalaga, but his outstanding play since joining the Stamford Bridge team has allowed him to make the Blues’ starting lineup. Keeping nine clean sheets during the competition, he also played a significant role in Chelsea defeating Manchester City in the final to win the UEFA Champions League.
