Manchester United defeated Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley to win their first trophy since 2017.
In the 33rd minute, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro gave Manchester United the lead, setting the tone for the remainder of the game.
In addition to being Ten Hag’s victory, this was Manchester United’s first trophy in six years.
Even though he has only been at Old Trafford since the summer, he has already altered the club’s culture. Perhaps saying that he changed it back would be more accurate.
This was a win for the idea that the manager has the power and not haughty superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo or Paul Pogba who try to take it away from them.
