Graham Potter lost for the first time since signing with Chelsea as Brighton destroyed the Blues 4-1 at the Amex to clinch their first win under Roberto De Zerbi.
Potter’s worst performance as Chelsea’s manager came courtesy of former players Leandro Trossard and Pascal Gross.
Roberto De Zerbi had to wait for his first victory, but he did so against the manager he succeeded at the Amex Stadium.
Early goals from Trossard and two own goals by Chelsea gave Roberto De Zerbi’s team a commanding 3-0 advantage at the half.
With all the circumstances of it, this particular game seemed to be just what Brighton needed after five games without a victory under Potter’s successor De Zerbi.
