Following confirmation that he was not responding to therapy, Pele, a legend in Brazil, was transferred to end-of-life care in a hospital in that country.
On December 1, 2022, Pele posted a statement to his official Instagram account. The game’s legend states that he was admitted to the hospital during his routine monthly check-up. He expressed gratitude to everyone who shared his encouraging words on numerous platforms.
The chemotherapy Pele has been receiving since last September to treat his intestinal cancer, according to reports from the hospital on Saturday, has stopped working. He is currently receiving palliative care, according to them, and won’t be undergoing any intrusive procedures. End-of-life care and palliative care are provided to individuals with potentially fatal diseases or conditions.
After having a tumor removed from his bowels in September 2021, Pele was admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022, to reevaluate a cancer therapy. In 1958, 1962, and 1970, he guided Brazil to three world championship victories.
