Bose Ogulu, also known as “Mama Burna,” keeps making headlines as she wins Manager of the Year for her work with Burna Boy. See the story below for more information.
At the 2022 Artist And Manager Awards, Bose Ogulu, Burna Boy’s mother, manager, and co-founder of the Spaceship Collective, to which he is signed, earned the Manager Of The Year prize.
The award, which was created to honor “brilliant individuals who pioneer and develop new avenues in the (music) industry),” had named Bose Ogulu manager of the year for her work in helping Burna Boy achieve worldwide fame.
On November 17, the award was given out in London’s Bloomsbury Big Top. It was planned by the Music Managers Forum and the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) and presented in conjunction with beatBread (MMF). This honor also comes the day after the manager was named Manager of the Year at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
