Ahead of Liverpool Football Club’s Premier League matchup versus Manchester United at Old Trafford, manager Jurgen Klopp made a statement.
The German made his comments during a news conference held in advance of the tantalizing match that will take place on August 22, 2022. Klopp asserts that this match’s circumstances are distinct from those of the Premier League match between the two clubs last year.
Compared to the previous season, Liverpool is in a different position as they prepare to face the Red Devils. Last season, the Reds defeated Manchester United 9-0 overall in the Premier League.
I could be less interested from the results of last year, they are different games and different situations. It just helps United a bit to be more motivated, if that is possible looking at the situation that we are in.
In contrast, based on their performances in the first few group games this season, the distance between the two clubs appears to have narrowed. Liverpool drew its two games, but Manchester United lost both of its contests.
